Art Deco Gatsby Wedding Inspiration from Caribbean Wedding
Let me tell you why this wedding is completely awesome. 1. A drop-dead gorgeous + elegant “Great Gatsby” theme that channels all of the glamour of the 1920′s with just a few modern touches. 2. The amazing duo saying “I do,” a twosome who knew just what they wanted and threw a wedding day where details reign supreme. And last, but not least? 3. The to-die-for images captured by Tonya Zhyravleva Photography. They are simply amazing and you can see them all right here in the full gallery.
From the Bride… When Matt first proposed, we agreed that we were going to take it slow and enjoy being engaged. We looked a few places online and decided to go see the Cap Cana Beach in Dominican Republic and completely fell in love with it. I love the white sand beach, blue ocean and amazing romantic and cozy beach wedding atmosphere. It was smooth sailing from there. Everything just seemed to fall into place. I loved its vintage glamour feel and it gave me a great idea for a theme for the wedding. “The Great Gatsby” is one of my favorite books and I always dreamed of attending a famous Gatsby Party.
We used gold, violet, and black for most décor along with art deco tabletop decoration. We used champagne saucers and had a lot of greenery in the flower arrangements as a nod to the era, as well. For the cocktail hour, we were beyond excited to be able to do it right on the sand. The champagne vitrine was like a touch of glam that the cocktail location on the beach needed.
